6.1 Definition of Free Agents
- Free Agents (FAs) are players not affiliated with any team and can serve as Emergency Agents (EAs) when a rostered player is unexpectedly unavailable.
6.2 Usage of Emergency Agents (EAs)
- Teams requiring an EA may use a Free Agent or a player from a lower division.
- EAs can only play for one team per division in each matchweek.
- A team may not use the same EA more than once during the regular season in league matches.
6.3 Emergency Agent Submission and Approval
- Immediate EA Needs: If an emergency arises (e.g., a player does not show up for a scheduled match), teams may designate an eligible EA without prior league approval. The following conditions must be met:
- Teams must inform a League Referee about the EA via a support ticket within 12 hours of the match concluding.
- The reason for the substitution must be explained (e.g., player absence or last-minute unavailability).
- Failing to notify the league or providing an invalid reason for EA use may result in forfeiture.
- Pre-Approved EA (Optional): Teams may request approval for an EA in advance if a known absence is anticipated. This can be done by contacting a League Referee via a support ticket to ensure the EA is valid and avoids post-match issues.
- Responsibility: Teams are responsible for ensuring their chosen EA is eligible under all league restrictions (EP, division limits, etc.). If a League Referee is unable to respond in time, teams must ensure the EA has not been used by another team in the same division during the same matchweek.
6.4 Restrictions for Pro Emergency Agents
- Players with an EP exceeding 6, based on the pro registration system for the current season, are classified as Pro Emergency Agents. These players can only be used as EAs within the Pro Division and cannot act as EAs in any other divisions.
6.5 Limit on Emergency Agents
- A maximum of two EAs can be used in any match, with at least two players being official team members.
6.6 Challenger Division Restrictions
- Challenger teams may not use EAs that increase their team’s EP beyond 26. The EP of the unavailable player is considered in this calculation.
- Teams with an EP total already exceeding 26 are barred from using EAs with EP.
6.7 Playoff and Gauntlet Emergency Agent Rules
- During the Pro Playoffs and Challenger Gauntlet, teams are permitted to use one EA per series.
