Overview
Scheduling games is the primary responsibility of a team’s general manager. It is important that this process is done in a transparent and professional manner to avoid confusion between teams. In the event a referee must intervene, having a clear record of availability becomes crucial.
Scheduling Guidelines
When a matchweek begins and you are added to the match threads, it is crucial to promptly address them by stating your team's availability for that matchweek. Thread activity is monitored by referees and serves as a key factor in determining how we handle games that are not played on time.
What to Do
As soon as possible, provide the following information in the designated match thread:
- The days and times your team is available to play, following the allowed days for your division (Pro division: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday).
- The days and times your team cannot play.
- If your team’s availability is not yet confirmed, update the thread as soon as you receive it.
Scheduling Deadline:
- Teams must finalize and communicate their agreed match time at least 6 hours in advance of the match.
What Not to Do
Avoid the following actions, as they can negatively impact your team's standing if referees need to intervene in a delayed match:
- Failing to respond promptly: If your team fails to respond within 1 week of the scheduled matchweek start, the match may be forfeited.
- Late responses: Delaying responses reduces the likelihood of the match being played on time and places your team in an unfavourable position.
- Omitting availability details: Clearly state both when your team can and cannot play, even if your opponent has already communicated unavailability. This information is critical for referees when deciding on delayed matches.
If You Cannot Play
If your team cannot play during the matchweek or is unsure of availability, consider the following options:
- Postponement (Mutual Agreement): Both teams must agree to postpone and propose a new matchweek in the thread. Postponement requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled deadline.
- League Extension: If no agreement is reached, the requesting team can apply for a league-issued extension, which may be granted for up to 1 additional week. This extension must be requested via a league support ticket.
